Siete Misterios watched the world fall in love with mezcal and realized that more and more people were using mezcal in cocktails. For this, the Mexican mezcal Doba-Yej was created, Doba-Yej means "Espadín" in the ancient Zapotec language, after the name of the agave from which this Mexican mezcal specialty is obtained.

This spirit is a balanced mezcal that is perfect for drinking neat or in cocktails. Flavors of black pepper, banana, cinnamon, olive, vanilla and violet will be tasted by you. A distillate from a more modern copper distillery located outside of Sola de Vega, Oaxaca in Mexico.

The agaves are roasted in traditional underground ovens made of earth and stones. Mezcaleros use native wood as fuel for the fire and place river stones on top, which become extremely hot. The agaves are placed on the stones and roasted for three to five days. Then the juice and fibers are placed in large wooden barrels where they are exposed to the air.

The Mexican temperature and the regional yeast let the agaves ferment naturally. Siete Misterios adds nothing except pure spring water to achieve the ideal alcohol content. In this case 44%.
