The fruit of the poblano plant is a pointed bell pepper that matures from dark green to red to brown. The flavor is often described as smoky, with hints of chocolate or licorice. The spiciness is rather low, comparable to Hungarian spicy peppers. You can add them super to your quesadillas, omelets or tacos. These chilies can also be used for arroz verde or green rice.
