Spicyness:

Caña de Azúcar from Macha is jarred sugar cane and can be added as an ingredient to your winter fruit punch mix with pickled fruit. This brings a natural sweetness and aroma to your punch. The sticks are very firm, you cannot eat them directly, so they only serve as an addition for the authentic taste. Ponche is the traditional Mexican hot drink for the cold months of December to February in Mexico.

Recipe

This sugar cane can also be cooked with the Ponche Navideno.

PREPARATION OF THE WINE PUNCH
1. fill a medium saucepan half full with water and bring the water to the boil.

2. add the ingredients from the punch mixture to the water, keep the water simmering and stir occasionally. You will soon notice the fruity Christmas smell.

3. allow the fruit to simmer.

4. wait a little longer for the flavor to fully develop in the water and, after the first cup has been served, let the rest of the punch continue to simmer; in Mexico, the ponche stays warm for hours.

5. take some fruit (including the sticks) with tongs or a large fork and place them in a large cup. Then take the punch water with a ladle and pour it into the cup. It's better to do this in this order, otherwise the fruit could fall into the water and cause splashes ;)

6. the fruit can be fished out of the punch alternately with your sips from the cup using a fork or a small skewer. If the taste is not sweet enough for you, you can sweeten with a little honey or sugar.

7. enjoy your punch slowly with your loved ones and let everything continue to simmer.
