José Cuervo is one of the best known, if not the best known, Mexican Tequila producers in the world. This golden Reposado variant is a Joven Tequila made from a blend of Reposado (aged) and younger tequilas. Cuervo Gold played a major role in the invention of the Margarita cocktail, according to the manufacturer, and it is certainly a perfect Tequila for this popular cocktail. A special process is used when bottling it. Experts rate this variety with smooth and full flavor, light sweetness, as well as balanced oak and vanilla tones.

Recipe for a Cuervo ISLAND SPICE Cocktail

INGREDIENTS
- 2 parts Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado
- 1 part pineapple juice
- 0.5 parts lime juice
- 0.5 parts agave
- 2 slices of jalapeño
- Pineapple wedges
- Mint sprig

PREPARATION
1. Lightly mash jalapeño in a shaker.

2. Add all remaining ingredients to shaker.

3. Shake until cooled and strain over ice into an ice glass.

4. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a sprig of mint.
