Pico de Gallo is one of the most popular salsas in Mexico, you could even say it is the most representative of the country, since its colors resemble those of the national flag. The tomato represents the red, the onion the white, and the green is represented by cilantro and jalapeño chile. Pico sounds like some spicier stuff to Germans at first, but pico de gallo is more of a mildly spicy and flavorful sauce whose onion, tomato and cilantro flavors come through at least equally. San Miguel is careful to use homemade techniques and flavors, as evidenced by this delicious "comal"-roasted salsa. Just pour this salsa over chicken, steak, pork, fish, quesadillas or tamales to add that missing taste of Mexico.
