Tamales become a meal of favor you when you unwrap them from the corn leaf and taste all the sophistication of the manufacturing process of fresh tamal cornmeal mass and its various ingredients. With these about 20 leaves and the dimensions of about 18x18 cm of Doña Nata, they can be well packed in these leaves or corn husks in which they cook. Putting them on your table causes curiosity of your guests, instantly smelling and feeling, that these Tamales are homemade. The leaves come from the town of Texcala, Zapotitlan in Mexico. The light leaves are rather loose in the package and are not strongly compressed. For the tamales preparation (here you'll find the recipe) for the Corn leaves(-husks) soak in warm water for about 10 minutes, before using them. This item is only for wrapping during cooking and should not be eaten.
