Derrumbes Zacatecas is made from 100% Weber agave in the village of Huitzila, Zacatecas, directly across from the majestic barranca (canyon) that separates it from the valley of Tequila. Because of its proximity, Zacatecas is best known for its mezcal, which is made in the style of tequila.

However, the Bañuelos family is one of the few mezcaleros in Zacatecas who produce traditional mezcal. Derrumbes Zacatecas is a rare opportunity to travel back in time and experience Blue Agave in a very different way: roasted in the pit, ground in Tahona and fermented spontaneously.

Recipe for a Mezcal Derrumbes On Fire Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

- 45ml Mezcal Derrumbes
- 10ml Tabasco Habanero
- 15ml Pineapple Juice
- 10ml honey
- 10ml lime juice
- 100ml chopped ice
- Uses an old fashioned glass (wide and not too high)

PREPARATION

1. half of the ice in a shaker
2. put all ingredients in the shaker
3. shake quickly and briefly
4. pour the whole content into a glass
5. fill the glass with ice cubes
