The Maya revered cenotes as "windows to the underworld" and "sacred wells", believing that they were inhabited by divine beings. Inspired by this mysticism, the Cenote liqueur is an ultra-premium indulgence that uses 100% tequila made from Blue Weber agave as its base to offer a perfectly balanced taste of sweetness and bitterness.

Its name pays tribute to the breathtaking swimming caves in Mexico, which were created by the collapse of cave ceilings and are a source of fresh water. Cenote Blanco Tequila is inspired by the beauty of the Yucatán Peninsula and the unique underground water systems of this region. This tequila is characterized by a complex aroma profile that combines the scents of cooked agave with subtle wood nuances.

The extraction of essential oils from green orange peel and a triple distillation creates a distillate that is combined with the Blanco expression and demineralized water to create an aroma spectrum of freshly cut green oranges, cooked agave and delicate woody notes.

Tasting reveals a bright orange color and a fruity bouquet of oranges on the nose, while the taste is fresh and fruity, reflecting orange peel and cooked agave, accompanied by a gentle woody note. Recipe for a Holy Cenote cocktail

INGREDIENTS
1 part Cenote Orange Tequila Liqueur
1 part Amaro Cannella
1 part honey syrup*
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 lime
6 mint leaves and sprig for garnish Soda water

PREPARATION
1. shake the mint, cenote liqueur, amaro, honey syrup and lime juice in a shaker.

2. double strain into a cognac glass.
Garnish with lime slices on the rim of the glass.

3. add a little ice and top up with soda water.
Garnish with a sprig of mint and three dashes of bitters.

*For the honey syrup, heat two parts honey and one part water in a saucepan.
