Axolotl pendant with necklace (light or dark)
Axolotl pendant with necklace (light or dark) - Bright is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This jewelry pendant shows an Axolotl holding a glittering heart-shaped stone. This animal is extremely rare and only found in Mexico, actually near Mexico City. Due to the fact that the species is very endangered, it is important to many Mexicans to preserve the stock and since it is a cute looking and quite recognizable creature, you can fall in love with the sight.
The Axolotl is a Mexican caudate that spends its entire life in its larval form. Its name comes from the Aztec language and roughly means "water monster" - though they don't actually seem monstrously dangerous. These animals were first brought to Europe by Alexander von Humboldt in 1804. Sexually mature Axolotls are about 23-28 cm long and have a flat tail with fins, short limbs and gills. They can live up to 20 years. They prefer cool fresh water. Axolotls have amazing regenerative abilities and can restore lost limbs and organs, which is why they are currently being thoroughly researched in hopes that they have medicinal value. In the wild, they hunt crustaceans, invertebrates, and fish.
The following 2 variants of the trailers are available:
