Oaxaca is a region in Mexico where you can find many excellent foods. Queso Oaxaca, named after the region of the same name, is a delicious Mexican cheese specialty. The cheese is made from cow's milk and has a soft consistency. No genetic engineering is used. It is very easy to stretch and is perfect for gratinating. You may have heard it called quesillo "little cheese".

Queso Oaxaca is produced according to a traditional recipe in Germany and is characterized by its mild, buttery taste and soft, tender texture. It is typically rolled in one piece and vacuum-packed. In Mexican cuisine, Oaxaca queso is often used as a filling or topping for dishes such as quesadillas, enchiladas and tamales. Due to its good melting properties, it is also ideal for pizzas, casseroles and other melted cheese dishes.

Please note that this product is delivered chilled and should either be consumed quickly at home or stored in a cool place. Freezing is also possible for a longer shelf life.

Recipe

Use this cheese for quesadillas, e.g. with a tortilla, queso Oaxaca and finely sliced chorizo pieces. When heating the tortilla, wait briefly until the cheese has melted, sprinkle the chorizo pieces on top and fold up the tortilla. Take it out while it is still flexible.
