The specialty coffee imported from Mexico comes directly from the Rincón Toningo cooperative in Veracruz. This variant is roasted in Berlin under the name Medium Honey in 500g packs with a very easy zip opening and resealable clamp closure. After three successful years in Berlin coffee shops, we are adding it to our range here too. Ombligo de Luna is a socially oriented brand which, according to its own statements, strives for a fair distribution of profits, with a particular focus on the producers in Veracruz.

The aim is to put the people who make all this possible above everything else. In addition to a fairer payment for the coffee, development projects are also carried out in the producer communities. With the CAFETO project, the company undertakes to plant two coffee plants directly on the producers' farms for every kilogram of coffee sold in order to offset CO2 emissions and to increase the coffee production of the cooperative's small producers so that they will have a higher income in the future.

In addition, materials are provided and educational projects are carried out in the community, such as the ALFA project, in which lessons are given on weekends for a year with four local teachers in order to close the illiteracy gap among children.
